On August tenth, 2024, Malaysia and China marked the fiftieth anniversary of their diplomatic ties with a lavish occasion at Sunway Velocity Mall, titled “Hi China: Discovering China Opportunities and Celebrating 50 Years of China-Malaysia Relationship.” This celebration was aimed toward enhancing mutual understanding, and fostering financial, cultural, and tourism exchanges.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Manoharan Periasamy, Director-Common of Tourism Malaysia, who underscored the enduring partnership between Malaysia and China in his keynote speech. Attendees included distinguished figures from each nations, representing organizations just like the China Media Group (CMG), the Federation of Chinese language Associations Malaysia (Huazong), the Malaysia-China Enterprise Council (MCBC), and the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM).
Cultural performances and shows, alongside interactive periods, illustrated the colourful cultural heritage of each nations. A standout function was the roadshow collaboration between China Media Group (CMG) and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), which showcased the documentary “Cerita Antara Kita” and its theme track “Dua Dunia Satu Cinta.”
“We are honoured to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations with China,” stated Mr. Manoharan Periasamy. “This partnership has been instrumental in driving economic growth, cultural exchange, and people-to-people ties between our two nations. We look forward to strengthening our collaboration in the years to come.”
The occasion concluded with a dedication to strengthening Malaysia-China relations additional, emphasizing cultural exchanges and financial collaborations as pathways to future prosperity.
