A 28-year-old man has claimed he was grabbed across the throat and left with a reduce above his eye after an incident involving Sale Sharks’ England ahead Jonny Hill following Tub’s Gallagher Premiership play-off victory.
Hill is at present recovering from harm, having not performed since January, and watched the sport with Sale’s teaching workforce within the Recreation Floor’s major grandstand.
As 6ft 7in Hill left his seat after the ultimate whistle within the match, which Sale misplaced 31-23, and walked down the steps, he grew to become concerned with the person.
The Tub supporter, who did need to be named, advised reporters: “I was sat there, and he came down the stairs, grabbed me around the throat, broke my sunglasses and cut the top of my eye.
“He was saying to me ‘do not ever try this once more’.
“To be sincere, all I need is a brand new pair of sun shades. I do not need to make a giant factor.
“I was sat with my partner and all her family. This is not football.”
Sale issued a press release confirming they’re investigating the allegations.
“Sale Sharks are aware of an incident involving a player and Bath Rugby fan at the final whistle of today’s semi-final,” the assertion from the membership learn.
“The club will work with Bath Rugby to complete an investigation into the incident and will provide no further comment at this time.”
Requested in regards to the incident in his post-match press convention, Sale rugby director Alex Sanderson had no data of the incident.
“It is news to me,” Sanderson stated. “Jonny is not the aggressive type, and I will answer those questions when I know.
“I can vouch for Jonny’s character. He’s not a very aggressive spiteful particular person.”
