On a month-to-month foundation, retail gross sales elevated 0.7% from October to November (seasonally adjusted), and gross sales had been up 3.8 % from November 2023.
From the Census Bureau report:
Advance estimates of U.S. retail and meals providers gross sales for November 2024, adjusted for seasonal variation and vacation and trading-day variations, however not for worth adjustments, had been $724.6 billion, a rise of 0.7 % from the earlier month, and up 3.8 % from November 2023. … The September 2024 to October 2024 % change was revised from up 0.4 % to up 0.5 %.

The change in gross sales in November had been above expectations, and gross sales in September and October had been revised up, mixed.
